Everything as expected. A ‘catwalk’ to conclude the regular season and project themselves into the play-offs for promotion to Serie A1, a historic goal never achieved in the past by the Crotone team. An extraordinary journey, which saw the work completed with a clear 15-4 win against Polisportiva Delta, a sacrificial victim that could do nothing in the face of a hungry Pythagorean team with its head on the playoffs, and which used its last effort of the regular season precisely to finish a job that will evidently be perfected in the next few days, to arrive at the meeting on Saturday 18 May in the best possible conditions. That is the day that will open the doors of the playoffs, with Auditore involved in game 1 at the Olympic pool and the advantage of being able to play any game 3 again at home.
The last match, as told, had no history. The gap, even mental, is too clear between a team focused and launched towards new objectives, and the other now resigned for some time to last place with just two points forfeited. The response in favor of the Crotone team was inevitable, with the match immediately taking a precise turn with undisputed dominance: the entire squad employed provided roaring responses, with the scoreboard featuring all the participants: from the 2 goals scored by Zovko, Chiodo, Lapenna, Spadafora and Orlando, to the single goals scored by Candigliota, Tkac, Giacoppo, Privitera and Caliogna.

Numbers that give an idea of the path taken, embellished by the freshman label which however did not inhibit the strength and depth of Arcuri’s ‘seven’, preceded in the standings only by Napoli, who for a good part of the season were behind only to then overtake him at the crucial moment. Not bad because the second place remains a gem in the season of the Crotone team, who will now try to dive into the adventure of the play-offs with enthusiasm and interesting prospects.
