Today and tomorrow the Pro Loco of Candelara has organized a new event entitled “Scents and flavors of Spring”, dedicated to the season in which agricultural activities resume and the land offers its first products. A market with 12 producers will be set up in the area of the former Foro Boario. There will also be a refreshment point.
The market opens at 4pm on Saturday and at 10.30am on Sunday. A children’s area will also be set up in the festival area and a space has been reserved for the display of farmyard animals. On Sunday it will be possible to have lunch thanks to the Pro Loco volunteers who have prepared a menu dedicated to spring at a cost of 20 euros.
The two-day program is full of cultural events: today at 3.30 pm the inauguration of the PAC Museum, after the restoration of the building which was purchased by the Pro Loco. The Museum has become part of the “Pesaro Musei” network and can be accessed for free with the “Card Pesaro Capitale”. The collaboration with the Tame Museum of the “Mengaroni” high school is important. The archbishop Monsignor Sandro Salvucci and the director of Mengaroni Serena Perugini will be present at the inauguration. Other events will follow including the inauguration, in the “Sala del Capitano”, at 5.30 pm, of the collective exhibition: “Portrait of an author. Photographic narration” curated by Erman Izzi and Giancarla Ugoccioni.
The exhibition concludes the photographic workshop held by Macula in collaboration with Studio Diaz. It is an exploration that fuses the art of photography with the depths of psychology. Then on Sunday morning the village will be invaded by the tractors of the “Agricultural Pride Committee” of the delegation from the province of Pesaro and Urbino. At 10.30 am at the Soms (Mutual Aid Workers’ Society) there is a meeting to talk about the problem of valorising the products of the Italian agricultural sector.
