There Sebastiani makes his game 1 of the playoffs with Rimini in front of the enthusiasm of over 2,000 people who also applauded the great man Roberto Brunamonti present at PalaSojourner. Of the Lamb begins with Simioni, Johnson, Tassinari, Anumba, Marks. Rossi he replies by lining up Nobile, Raucci, Johnson, Sarto, Hogue. The first basket is from Anumba. Hogue scores a free throw, then misses two shots from underneath and loses control of Simioni. Hogue, assisted by Jazz, scores. Johnson does the same on the other side. Marks doesn’t forgive and Rimini extends (3-8). Unfortunately Sebastiani never scores: everyone’s powders are wet. Hogue seems to be the most skilled (7-8). Raucci loses Johnson who does not forgive. Piccin finds a splendid basket that Grande nullifies with a bomb. Anumba scores and so does Spanghero (13-15). Grande strikes twice again, Rimini ends the first quarter well ahead (13-21). Spanghero incredibly misses from underneath, not so Johnson. Rossi is forced to time out (13-23). Jazz invents a basket from him, then assists Hogue splendidly (17-23). The time out is now for Dell’Agnello. Pellegrino scores two personal goals as Jazz loses possession. Sebastiani’s shooting errors continue and really weigh too much. Hogue commits his second foul, Rossi has to recall him to the bench. Ancellotti also misses two personnel. A fortunate recovery yields two points for Raucci. Jazz finally scores a three (22-27). Piccin scores two personal goals (24-27). The defenses always win the last actions and so we go to half-time. Marks scores, Italian scores a three. Nobile equalizes (29-29). Simioni and Jazz compensate each other. Simioni scores two more baskets and Rimini extends again (31-35). Italian appears to be the only one inspired to shoot (three-pointer), but Simioni nullifies his effort (34-38). There is Hogue’s third foul on Johnson. Piccin commits a blunder, Grande takes advantage of it. For Rieti he takes the Jazz chair, but he is too alone. Piccin closes the distance. The third quarter ends 43-44. Spanghero scores the first lead for Rieti (45-44), then scores again. Marks, alone, pierces the net from three, but so does Spanghero (for him 7 points in an amen). Piccin also scores threes (53-49). Then Sebastiani’s light goes out again. Great, alone scores a three and puts Rimini back ahead (53-54). Spanghero returns to score. Marks doesn’t limit himself. Italian makes it from three (58-56 at 6′). Petrovic also scores (60-56 -3′ and 22”). Italian still has the hole from three (63-56 -3′ and 10”). He’s also great for three. Spanghero entering. Grande always scores threes, even very marked ones, and even suffers a foul (65-62). Jazz goes to the line (67-62 -1′ and 44”). A literally non-existent foul called on Spanghero gives Grande two personal goals (67-64 -1′ and 28”). Jazz scores two free throws, while Petrovic misses both (69-64 at -32″); not Marks on the other side (69-65). Jazz goes to the line after suffering a foul (71-65 -24”). Big score from three. Jazz is still on the line (73-68). Johnson scores (73-70 – 5”). Piccin makes a free throw. Grande scores almost from midfield (74-73 -1”), but it’s not enough. Sebastiani wins 74 to 73.
