Beautiful victory on the last day of the Serie B Championship Group 3 where the team coached by Mister Garcia conquers the Pescara Nuoto swimming pool (Centro Italia Avezzano due to the unavailability of the Le Naiadi swimming pool in Pescara) going on to win with a score of 13- 12. An important victory, raising the morale of the team which grew a lot towards the end of the championship.
Online the no. 8 Bogni scored four goals, Garcia A. three goals, Bonetti two goals, Cionfi, Garcia G. Notarini and Miccichè one goal. Debut in Serie B for the second goalkeeper Vasco Mazzuca (who celebrates his eighteenth birthday tomorrow) who distinguished himself with some important saves.
The match
First half by Babel who moved to 0-3 with goals from Bonetti, Miccichè and Garcia A., Pescara closed the gap with De Luca and it was once again Bonetti who closed the half with the result 1-4.
Second set with Pescara closing the gap with goals from Bartocci and Cunko, a goal from Cionfi closes the half at 3-5.
Third half with a goal from Pescara with the no. 9 Micheletti, extends the cap again for Babel 8 Bogni, closes the gap again Micheletti, Garcia G. scores for the guests and with two goals from D’Incecco and Micheletti again Pescara draws at 7-7. For the first time the home team took the lead with a goal from Fredducci but were joined by our no. 4 Notarini. A few seconds from the end, Babel again extends the lead with a goal from the no. 8 Bogni bringing the final score to 8-9.
Fourth set with a goal by Garcia A. for the guests but Bartocci shortens again, it is Bogni with a brace to bring the result to 9-12. Pescara tries everything and scores with Micheletti, but Babel doesn’t have it and scores again with Garcia A. (10-13). At this point all schemes fall apart and Pescara tries everything with two goals from De Luca and Micheletti but the result does not change and Babel deservedly wins this match.
