Diocese: Siena, reopening of the church of Santo Stefano for worship on 6 May and conference on legality

Monday 6 May 2024, at 12.15 pm, at the Suvignano estate, Str. Monteroni Vescovado, 2759/E in Monteroni d’Arbia, Card. Augusto Paolo Lojudice, archbishop of Siena-Colle di Val D’Elsa-Montalcino, will preside over the celebration for the reopening of the church of Santo Stefano for worship. The mass will have as its intention the prayer for all the martyrs of the mafia and is held as part of the “Suvignano between work and prayer” event.
The ceremony will be preceded at 10.30 by a round table on “The destination of confiscated agricultural companies and the legality of work in agriculture” in which the following will take part: Eugenio Giani, president of the Tuscany Region, Giovanni Sordi, director of Ente Terre Regionali Toscane, Chiara Colosimo, president of the Parliamentary Commission of inquiry into the phenomenon of mafias and other criminal associations, including foreign ones, card. Augusto Paolo Lojudice, Archbishop of Siena – Colle di Val d’Elsa – Montalcino, Wanda Ferro, Undersecretary of State Ministry of the Interior, Stefania Saccardi, Vice President and Councilor for Agriculture of the Tuscany Region, Bruno Corda, Director of the National Agency for administration and destination of assets seized and confiscated from organized crime and Stefano Ciuoffo, Councilor for Legality of the Tuscany Region.
