Series The report cards of Monza-Lazio 2-2: Djuric killjoy, Pessina an assist and a half. Finally Immobile, Casale rejected

Monza-Lazio, a match valid for the 35th matchday of Serie A, ended with a score of 2-2 result of goals from Immobile and Vecino and a brace from Djuric. With this result Lazio is 7th, -3 behind Roma (5th) who will play against Juventus on Sunday evening. Below are the votes for the protagonists of the match at U-Power Stadium.

Monza report cards

Michele DI GREGORIO 6 – The crossbar helps him but not enough for the first goal. On Vecino’s goal, however, he pays for the error of Donati and Akpa Akpro. In the final he denies Guendouzi a trio.

Samuele BIRINDELLI 6 – Tireless lateral, he engages in a good duel with Zaccagni. Then the Lazio player comes out and has more freedom. And he keeps pushing, as long as he has it. (from 71′ Giulio DONATI 5 – Immediately decisive with the cross that lays the foundations for the 1-1. But ten minutes later he undoes what he just created with a crazy back pass.)

Armando IZZO 6 – He goes to the door with Immobile, then takes over Castellanos and has an easier life.

Pablo MARI’ 6 – He keeps Immobile in play for Lazio’s first goal, but his defensive performance is good. A few moments before the 2-2 Djuric looks for a masterpiece goal from distance, Mandas denies him personal joy.

Georgios KYRIAKOPOULOS 6 – He struggles in the first half hour, Marusic is difficult to contain. Then it becomes an equal fight. (from 71′ Dany MOTA 6 – You can’t see much, he brings new life to Palladino’s attack).

Matteo PESSINA 7 – It starts badly, with a weak clearance at Kamada’s feet, which is the prerequisite for Lazio’s 0-1. He redeems himself in the second half, masterminding Djuric’s two goals. With the diving header he sets up the 1-1; then, with a brushstroke, he asks the Bosnian just to throw it in.

Warren BONDO 5.5 – He suffers at the start of the duel with Kamada and wastes a chance with his head at the end of the first half. A dynamic player, he uses his speed to block Tudor’s arrows. (from 86′ Gianluca CAPRARI sv – Absent since September due to a torn cruciate. Welcome back!)

Andrea COLPANI 7 – In great shape, at times it seems like the Colpani at the beginning of the season. He puts Lazio’s defense at risk several times with class and quality. To slow him down, they all resort to yellow card fouls.

Valentin CARBONI 6 – Initially he hides among Tudor’s midfielders, then manages to emerge. The header error, from a few steps, is serious; the cross for Bondo (who then misses) is magical. (from 71′ Jean-Daniel AKPA AKPRO 5 – The former Lazio player gets confused, Vecino runs away from him. And the omelette is done).

Alessio ZERBIN 6 – He triggers Djuric after 5′ but in the long run he is the least proactive of the red and white offensive department. He is appreciated for his defensive phase: he saves the result with an extraordinary diagonal useful to stop Felipe Anderson. (from 78′ Luca CALDIROLA sv)

Milan DJURIC 7.5 – He wins the run-off with Colombo, and gives Palladino an unusual double (only one goal before today since he was at Monza). The Bosnian giant plays the spoilsport, turning two of the three chances available into gold. The tap-in at 1-1, for someone like him, is almost more difficult than the goal in recovery, fundamental in which he is second to none.

Coach Raffaele PALLADINO 7 – With safety in his pocket, his Monza never gives up on playing. Not even after a cold goal, not even after Vecino’s mocking stamp. A lesson for everyone.

Lazio’s report cards

Christos MANDAS 6.5 – In the first half he is reactive on Pessina and pardoned by Djuric, Carboni and Bondo. In the second half he saves on Colpani and Mari. He is not to blame for the Bosnian’s two goals.

PATRIC 5 – It starts badly: Djuric escapes him, and it almost makes it 1-0. He grows a little at a time, but continues to have empty passes. Like Bondo’s header, which he leaves alone.

Alessio ROMAGNOLI 6 – Good marking on Djuric for a half and a half, when Monza raises the engine revs and he is booked, he struggles like his teammates.

Elseid HYSAJ 5 – From its front, Monza creates and has fun. The Albanian is always in trouble, the Brianza players are too many and he doesn’t know how to stem them. Guilty at 1-1, together with Cataldi: he could try to send the ball laterally but instead favors the restart.

Adam MARUSIC 6 – The first goal comes from his descent. Some inaccuracies behind but Zerbin and Kyriakopoulos don’t cause too much trouble.

Matteo GUENDOUZI 6 – It starts well, Lazio dominates in midfield, but then there is a collective retreat. And the Frenchman is in more difficulty. He closes as an attacking midfielder, in the final Di Gregorio opposes his knockout blow.

Daichi KAMADA 6.5 – A factor in both phases. Precious in defense with pressing, recoveries, and good positioning. Lethal forward: his conclusion is deflected by Di Gregorio onto the crossbar but gives Immobile the advantage. It goes out when he really doesn’t have it anymore. (from 65′ Matias VECINO 7 – Enter and score, like a bird of prey. As already done with Atalanta, like Vecino from his Inter days. Suggestive but illusory goal).

Mattia ZACCAGNI 5 – In the new role he still has offensive duties but must also defend. She does it too vehemently. Three late interventions in half an hour. He receives the yellow card, Tudor fears being left with 10 men and removes it prematurely. (from 32′ Nicolò CASALE 4.5 – He immediately gets a warning, making Zaccagni’s sacrifice useless. He has a lot of responsibility for Djuric’s goal.)

FELIPE ANDERSON 5.5 – It’s not entirely convincing. He prepares for the restarts, but none of the ones in which he participates are successful. (from 82′ PEDRO sv)

LUIS ALBERTO 6 – Some wizard flashes. The veil in the first goal is perhaps what mocked Pessina who was then imprecise in the rebound. He tries to suggest his teammates vertically, but no one appreciates his plays. Lack of rhythm, he goes in flames. And he is too nervous about the cards drawn by Pairetto. (from the 65th minute Danilo CATALDI 5 – He unloads a ball to Hysaj that is very demanding to handle, starting the 1-1 draw for Monza).

Ciro PROPERTY 6.5 – He breaks his long 9-match drought with a tap-in like a true center forward. He works hard even without the ball, looking for a brace with his back heel. In the second half he disappears. (from 65′ Taty CASTELLANOS 5.5 – When Lazio enters they are disorganized, and only careful to defend the result. Izzo keeps him at bay).

All. Igor TUDOR 5 – He conceded too much of the field to Monza after Immobile’s goal, without then being able to reverse the inertia of the match once the Brianza team gained confidence. Inexplicable changes. Victory would have been unfair.
