The Carabinieri of Cesenatico reported two men held responsible for crimes of interruption of public service, causing alarm, simulation of crime and aiding and abetting. The complaint originates from an intervention carried out by the Carabinieri on April 11th in Cesenatico in Viale Mazzini, at the request of the 118 personnel who intervened following the collision of a pedestrian.

The first, a 52-year-old, declared that, while crossing the road at the pedestrian crossing, he was hit by a car that drove away without providing assistance. The other man, a 32-year-old present at the scene, was indicated as the only witness to the event, confirming the version provided by the victim. The latter was subsequently transported to the emergency room of the Bufalini hospital in Cesena where, after initial treatment, he was discharged with a ten-day prognosis for the injuries sustained.

The military personnel who intervened analyzed the images of a private video surveillance system present at the accident site, ascertaining that the 52-year-old had voluntarily laid down on the pedestrian crossing immediately after a car passed thinking not to be seen.

Meanwhile, in the same way, the younger one (his accomplice and only witness to the event), he had proceeded to sprinkle some foodstuffs on the ground in order to make it more credible what the first man told. The whole thing was probably simulated, in order to request subsequent compensation for the damage from the guarantee fund for road victims. Once the real dynamics of the event were ascertained, the two men were reported.
