Differentiated autonomy is not enough which will leave us in poverty, in the backwardness of services, without our talents and with kids who will emigrate more than now. Today a new piece is added: from 30 June the tax exemption for companies in the South will be cancelled.

«The Southern Contribution Relief – adds Ventola – was introduced in 2020 to reduce the labor costs of companies in the South to allow them, during Covid 19, not to lay off workers and keep employment stable. The measure was subsequently extended to deal with the crisis following the outbreak of war in Ukraine. Therefore Southern Contribution Relief is a measure of a European nature and has not yet expired. If the European Commission extends the Temporary Crisis and Transition Framework, the measure may be proposed again to guarantee non-dismissal of workers already employed. But, the Government, for its part, has instead introduced an employment bonus to hire new workers for companies in the South and therefore reduce the employment gap with the North. Therefore, if the Southern Contribution Relief cannot be extended, the Government will work with the European Commission to redefine the terms of the measure, to transform it from temporary to stable and lasting. And if President Capone doesn’t want to believe us, he could ask former minister Provenzano who proposed the same measure before the pandemic.”
