LThe State Police, in collaboration with the Carabinieri, the Financial Police and the Local Police, continues incessantly its activities within the framework of joint services for extraordinary control of the territory, aimed at preventing and repressing criminal activities and combating all forms of illegalities that may occur in the Foggia railway district.
In the last few hours, two measures for the temporary suspension of the license have been notified, pursuant to art. 100 TULPS, issued by the police commissioner of the province of Foggia, towards as many commercial activities. The stop for 7 and 15 days respectively.
The checks revealed the habitual meeting place of people with police records at the establishments. Found inside a business, with the contribution of the canine units of the Guardia di Finanza, a narcotic substance of the hashish type.
The censorship measures were adopted on a prudential basis to ensure greater safety in the relevant area, together with the implementation of increasingly stringent control and supervision activities.
Since the beginning of the year, targeted interventions have been planned and carried out on a weekly basis to combat urban degradation, through controls aimed at preventing and repression of forms of commercial illegality and widespread illegality in the area of Viale XXIV Maggio, via Podgora, via Piave and the entire “Russo” intermodal hub area.
“The important results were obtained thanks to the synergistic operational activity of the police forces with general jurisdiction in close collaboration with the Local Police”, says the commissioner Rossi.
The result of the operations reported since the beginning of the current year which saw the police forces engaged in several days of activity in the railway district (precisely 20 days in total in the aforementioned time frame) has yielded the following results overall:
3105 people identified; 883 vehicles checked; 121 verified businesses; 5 administrative seizures of counterfeit goods (food and non-food sectors) for a total of 26,832 pieces; narcotic substance subjected to administrative seizure: 92,454 grams of hashish and 2,100 grams of marijuana; a person trafficked under arrest; 12 people referred to the judicial authorities; 6 reports to the prefect of Foggia, pursuant to art. 75 Presidential Decree 309/90; 2 criminal seizures, pursuant to art. 354 criminal code, against unknown persons, of a narcotic substance of the hashish type, for a total of 21.83 grams; 125 complaints to the Highway Code; 10 administrative sanctions; 2 administrative seizures of vehicles without insurance coverage; an order of removal from the police commissioner; 3 invitations pursuant to art. 15 Tulps; a provision for suspension of entrepreneurial activity pursuant to art. 14 co.1 Legislative Decree 81/08 for failure to process the DVR – Sanction of €2500.00; 3 license suspension measures pursuant to art. 100 TULPS issued by the Police Commissioner of Foggia.
The prevention and repression activities against urban degradation will continue without interruption, satisfying the safety needs represented by residents.
