Massimo Picone, national secretary of the Pensioners and Workers for Italy Party, joins the civic list that is nominating Rino Genovese for Mayor. The Irpinia trade unionist announced his support and his personal candidacy in one of the civic lists belonging to the candidate Rino Genovese.
These are his declarations: “For some time now a discussion linked to the local elections had been going on with my journalist friend Rino Genovese and at the end of a series of meetings I discussed with the party and I decided to take the field directly to support the candidacy of Rino Genovese as first citizen. My candidacy in the civic list which expresses Rino Genovese as its contact is the choice that I consider the most correct in consideration of the esteem I have for Rino and the ideas brought forward by the candidate for a relaunch of our Avellino. I am aware that it will be a difficult electoral campaign and not without its pitfalls but I am ready to offer my contribution with the certainty of believing in a program based on valid ideas for our city.” Massimo Picone
