Alpine Cup, the Brescia crew Carrara-Consoli also on the podium

Courmayeur. Stefano Ginesi and Susanna Rohr are confirmed as winners of the fourth edition of the Alpine Cup, after five stages dominated aboard their 1934 Fiat 508 S Balilla Coppa D. In second place the Belgians Michel Decremer and Marie Mertens, with their 1951 Aston Martin Db2. The Brescia crew composed of Sergio Carrara and Walter Consoli climbs the third step of the podium, with a 1953 Jaguar XK 120 Ots, beating the Shrader, who gave him a hard time until the last test.

The stopwatches started for the last time precisely in Courmayeur, arrival location, after the crews had left Chamonix via the Mont Blanc Tunnel. Then, in the pedestrian center of Courmayeur, the cars paraded at the end of a 1600 kilometer ride.
