A terrifying case of murder-suicide to Palermo, but this time it’s not feminicide. A man and a woman, two married couples in their sixties, were found lifeless in their home in via Notarbartolo. The bodies lying on the ground, the woman who killed her husband and then took her own life was holding the gun.
The victims are Pietro Delia66 years old, accountant who also worked on behalf of a bank, e Laura Lupo, 62 years old, officer of the municipal police of Palermo. It was her daughter who worked with her father in the accounting firm who accompanied her parents to their apartment after an evening spent together. Everything seemed to be absolutely normal, the evening had passed in serenity and nothing would have made us think of the bloody epilogue.
When the daughter tried to contact her father on Saturday morning to go to work together and didn’t get a response, she thought about raising the alarm. So the firefighters and the police arrived on site and found the two bodies lying on the floor in the kitchen. The 62-year-old, as mentioned, still had the gun in hand while the apartment was tidy, nothing was out of place. For this reason, the investigators immediately discarded the possibility of a third-party break-in, perhaps due to a robbery. The drama took place during the night, although the precise time will be determined by the medical examiner who arrived on site. The couple’s other son lives far from Palermo and, having been informed of the disaster, he is still returning to the city. His murderous-suicidal wife served in the offices of the Justice of the Peace.
