VARESE SCHOOL CUP: “WHAT ELSE?”
The 2nd edition of the “Varese School Cup” has just ended, a tournament entirely dedicated to children from secondary schools. The anticipation and expectations for this event were truly very high, given the success achieved by the first edition. The organization was handled, once again impeccably, by Pallacanestro Varese and Basket Siamo Noi, with the collaboration of the Provincial School Office.
Although the number of participating institutes increased from ten to twenty, the level remained very high, both in terms of the technical quality of the “team groups” and in terms of the performances of the “Dance Crew”. We are proud to be part of this interesting and innovative project as, in addition to being engaging and fun, it has allowed us to share true sporting values with students from other institutes.
The gym of our school hosted some phases of the tournament and we had the opportunity to organize the individual events in the best possible way, thanks to the Press Office staff and the many volunteers who took care of welcoming the student-fans of the opposing teams. The contribution of the “Dance Crew” and “Tifo Positivo” groups was fundamental, as they gave that touch of color and joy, infecting all the students. Our “Curva”, in particular, now renamed with the name “The Wall”, has never failed to support the “Magnificent 12” with choirs, banners, scarves and themed t-shirts, showing great respect for all the teams faced during the year.
A special thank you to our followers (now almost 900), who followed the dedicated Instagram page with passion and enthusiasm, allowing us to receive the “Communication Area” Award at the end of the finals.
The final day of the event, organized at the Itelyum Arena in Varese, took place in a truly magical atmosphere in the presence of around 4,000 students, parents and professionals. Furthermore, the “Contest” between the Dance Crews of the various Institutes, the 3-point shooting competition, won among other things by our Gabriele Avanti, the amazing performance of Arianna Gagliardi, who sang the National Anthem a cappella, further embellished the morning…
Pure adrenaline in a crescendo of emotions and even emotion.
This second edition, now archived, leaves everyone a little sadder, even if full of pride for the goals achieved.
The end of the school year is approaching, summer will pass quickly and we, romantic dreamers, will already be ready for the next edition.
