It’s not Halloween, but Stephen King is always in season for the ‘Terni and Narni horror fest’. This year too there will be the literary competition, now in its ninth edition, reserved for unpublished stories capable of frightening, distressing and disturbing readers. Up for grabs are a plaque of recognition and the publication of their story in an anthology published by Bacchilega Editore, as well as a subscription to the ‘Scrittori.net’ website.
‘Terni Horror Award’ You have until June 23rd to send your text and submit it to a jury of twelve experts including writers, publishing sector professionals and readers. Presiding over it this year will be Paolo Di Orazio, Italian writer, cartoonist and drummer who shocked Italy with the collection ‘Primi Delitti’. Last year, 82 stories arrived from all over Italy and «the quality of the writings is increasingly higher, as demonstrated by the repeated participation of some very well-known names in the horror fiction sector such as Roberto Ciardiello, Filippo Santaniello, Saverio Catellani, Sara Perotti and others », explain the organizers.
How to participate Only unpublished stories (the author must be in possession of all rights relating to the work presented) with a maximum length of 25,000 characters including spaces are accepted for the competition. Each author can participate with only one story, obviously horror. To participate, membership of the ‘Amici dell’horror fest’ association is required, with a registration fee of 10 euros. Payment and membership to the association will be sent in the same email together with your story. The latter file must be renamed only with the title and not with the author’s data. The competition registration form found in the announcement must also be sent.
