The procession of the Saint’s return for Saturday 4 May, the procession will precede the passage of Sant’Efisio on the route up to the church of Stampace (for devotees on foot) and up to Via Azuni for the knights.
May 4th at 9.00pm Viale La Plaia and city route “the torchlight procession for Sant’Efisio”
PROGRAM FOR SATURDAY 4 MAY
- 7.30am Start of the return pilgrimage: Villa San Pietro – Sarroch – Su Loi – Maddalena Spiaggia – Giorgino where the chariot and clothes will be changed in Sant’Efisio
- 8:00 am Holy Mass for the deceased brothers – Nora
- 8pm Holy Mass – Cagliari
- 8pm Return procession towards Cagliari
- 10pm Arrival of Sant’Efisio in the church of Stampace, Eucharistic Blessing and announcement of the dissolution of the vow.

TRAFFIC CHANGES
On the occasion of return procession of the simulacrum of Sant’Efisiofor Saturday 4 May 2024 are There will be restrictions on vehicular circulation along the event itinerary.
Below are the requirements to be respected established by management ordinances no. 1030/2024 and n. 1039/2024
In the Ponte della Scafa and in via La Palma, cross I La Plama, Sassari and piazza Matteotti, via Roma (portico side), largo Carlo Felice, via Crispi, via Sassari, Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, piazza Yenne, via Azuni, Sant’ Efisio, Portoscalas, Sant’Ignazio Da Laconi, Mameli (section via Caprera – Largo Carlo Felice), Riva Di Ponente, Molo Sant’Agostino, Lungomare New York 11 September 2001, Rome (reserved bus-taxi lane, in both directions) :
- establishment of a parking ban, with forced removal, on both sides of the pre-established route for the return of the simulacrum of Sant’Efisio from 8:00 to 24:00 on 4 May 2024, with the exception of authorized persons;
- establishment of a ban on vehicular transit, in the pre-established route for the return of the simulacrum of Sant’Efisio from 6.00pm to 12.00am on 4 May 2024, with the exception of authorized persons;
- establishment of the parking ban, with forced removal, on both sides of the two longest streets (Post Office side and Palazzo Pizzorno Binaghi side) adjacent to Piazza Madonna Del Carmine, from 08:00 to 24:00 on 4 May 2024, with the exception of authorized persons;
- establishment of a ban on vehicular transit, in the two longest streets (on the Poste Italiane side and on the Palazzo Pizzorno Binaghi side) adjacent to Piazza Madonna del Carmine, from 6.00 pm to 12.00 am on 4 May 2024, with the exception of authorized persons;
- establishment of the ban on movement, with forced removal, on both sides of Via Malta (Vico Malta – Via Sassari section) from 08:00 to 24:00 on 4 May 2024, with the exception of authorized persons;
- establishment of the ban on vehicular transit, in via Malta (vico Malta – via Sassari section) from 6.00 pm to 12.00 am on 4 May 2024, with the exception of authorized persons.
Furthermore:
- establishment, in Via Cesare Battisti, on the entire right side and on the left side for a length of 20 metres, towards Viale Trento – Viale Trieste, of a parking ban, with forced removal, except for public service buses, from 08:00 at midnight on May 4, 2024.
