POTENZA – Just a few hours left until the start of the Giro d’Italia. We start in Piedmont, from Venaria Reale to Turin for the 2024 edition which will end in Rome on 26 May. This year the route does not include Lucanian stops. But a bit of Basilicata will still be present with the athlete from Villa d’Agri Alexander Verresat the second participation after last year’s debut and with Domenico Pozzovivo. For the veteran from Policoro it will be the eighteenth time at the race in pink, equaling the record for appearances at the Giro d’Italia, previously held alone by Wladimiro Panizza.
As usual, RAI will provide clear information to the national public on each day of the race. The pink television day will begin with an hour of “Giro Mattina” on Rai Sport HD, after which there will be “Prima direct” on the same channel to follow the moment of the start of the stage until 2.00 pm. For the key part of the programming, the Corsa Rosa schedule moves to Rai 2, with “Giro in Diretta” until 4.15pm and “Giro all’Arrivo” immediately following, for the story of the culminating phases of each stage until finish line scheduled for 5.15pm. Immediately following, the traditional post-race analyzes of the Processo alla Tappa. The technical-sporting picture on Rai Sport HD is completed by the TGiro, starting at 8pm, and Giro Notte, at 11.50pm.
