The Carabinieri of the Terni station have implemented, against a 26-year-old of Sicilian origins resident in the capital, with no criminal record, the precautionary measure of the ban on approaching her ex-partner and the places she frequented, issued by the GIP office at the Court of Terni.
The judge also ordered the application of an electronic bracelet to the suspect.
The young man is held responsible for the crimes of mistreatment in the family and persecutory acts committed against his ex-partner, a girl from Terni of the same age as him who, at the end of a tormented cohabitation relationship, turned to the Carabinieri because she was tired of suffering mistreatment, even in the presence of their youngest daughter. The woman reported that she was forced to suffer continuous physical attacks, insults, threats, even during pregnancy, in some cases even resulting in personal injuries, which were never reported.
Once the cohabitation was interrupted, her partner, blinded by jealousy, began to carry out a real persecutory activity towards her, forcing her to change her lifestyle habits and live in a state of anguish and fear.
The investigations carried out by the Carabinieri, coordinated by the Terni Prosecutor’s Office as part of the so-called “red code”, allowed the Judge, having assessed the seriousness of the facts, to issue the precautionary measure carried out in recent days, with the additional remote control method by applying the electronic bracelet.
