“School seminars on healthcare”. Meeting at the Piccolo Teatro Libertà in Benevento
Descriptive text here

The Municipality of Benevento, as part of the “School seminars on healthcare” project, organized for the year 2023-2024 with the participation of the Benevento Medical Association, thanks to the availability of the Misericordia of Benevento and the Benevento Red Cross, has organized a training course on first aid maneuvers and use of defibrillators for next May 4th at 3.00 pm at the Piccolo Teatro Libertà, adjacent to the Benevento traffic police headquarters, with free certification. The course, with a limited number of participants for a maximum of 30, is aimed exclusively at secondary school staff who have joined the aforementioned project, i.e. the “P. Giannone”, the Institute of Secondary Education “G. Alberti” and the scientific high school “G. Rummo”.

The directors of the aforementioned schools have provided the municipality of Benevento with the names of 10 professors or ATA employees who will participate in the training event. The latter, once they have been trained, can be the point of reference in the event of a school health emergency for their respective institutes. It is remembered that the promotion and teaching of lay first aid maneuvers represents another cornerstone program of the municipal administration which has already allocated 10 defibrillators in as many key points of the municipality and which, with this initiative, wants to further raise citizens’ awareness of the emergency cardio-respiratory problems. The consequences could only be mitigated thanks to the rapid intervention of citizens who are informed and trained to carry out life-saving maneuvers. We thank the presidents of the Misericordia of Benevento and the Red Cross of Benevento, Angelo Iacoviello and Giovanni De Michele, as well as their instructors, for their willingness to contribute to the training of the school staff interested in the project.

Luca De Lipsis – Municipal councilor responsible for health

Marcello Palladino – City councilor responsible for education

Loredana Iannelli – Councilor delegated to the districts

Luisa Petrone – President of the Health and Environment council commission
