Massa’s M5S: «Reopening of the Evam fountain, we are not satisfied with Mayor Persiani’s statements»

MASSA – In response to the recent statements of the mayor Francesco Persiani published in the press regarding the possible reopening of the Evam fountain, Elisa Giovannelli, representative of the M5S territorial group of Massa, expresses doubts and requests clarification. “We are not satisfied with the mayor’s statements – she writes in a press note – She confirms that there are unspecified sanitization problems that concern the old pipes. He doesn’t even convince us of the announced expenditure; We are waiting for a detailed estimate to give our assessments.”

Giovannelli underlines regarding this decision: “It is, however, a question of political will, and this will be what we expect to hear when Mayor Persiani responds in the City Council to councilor Daniela Bennati’s question.”

Access to water is seen as a fundamental right by the 5 Star Movement, and the representative reiterates the urgency of this need: “Certainly, the citizens of Massa want the fountain to reopen immediately. As for how, it is up to this administration to communicate it.”

Meanwhile, the M5S announces that the collection of signatures for the reopening continues: on Saturday 4 May, at the San Carlo fountain, the activists of the 5 Star Movement will be present to continue the collection of signatures. “Water is a right and we want to exercise it,” concludes Giovannelli, inviting the community to participate in large numbers.
