An adventure over 3 thousand kilometers long, with a double presence from Reggio Emilia. The Giro d’Italia is preparing for the start, scheduled for today with the 140 kilometer Venaria Reale-Turin stage. An endless chase in search of victory, animated by climbs, escapes and sprints, destined to end on May 26th in Rome. Ready for a new, exciting experience with the ranks of captain is Mirco Maestri, 32 years old from Luzzara, who has found a second youth at Team Polti Kometa. His role will be that of director on the field, as a raider in escapes from afar and in guiding teammates with strong sprinting skills towards the sprint. Maestri’s team is completed by Matto Fabbro, ranking man, by the climber Davide Piganzoli, by the sprinter Giovanni Leonardi, by the raiders Davide and Mattia Bais, by the emerging Andrea Pietrobon and Fran Munoz.
At the pink race we also find the Vf Group Bardiani Csf Faizanè, a professional team from Reggio Emilia which boasts a record: it is the 42nd participation in the Giro, a record that gives prestige. Still for the album of statistics, in the formation of the Reverberi family there is someone who is preparing to equal the legendary Wladimiro Panizza in the participation ranking: it is Domenico Pozzovivo, who achieves the incredible goal of the 18th participation and who looks forward to days as a protagonist .
