Three days of transport strike starts today in Tuscany, which will first concern trains and then buses and the tramway in Florence.

The national train strike, proclaimed by an independent trade union of the staff of the Fs Italiane group, will begin at 9pm today, Saturday 4 May, and will continue until 9pm tomorrow, Sunday 5 May. FS makes this known, warning that “the national strike could have a significant impact on railway traffic and lead to total and partial cancellations of Frecce, Intercity and Trenitalia regional trains”.

The effects, in terms of cancellations and delays, they may also occur before and last beyond the end time of the strike and passengers are invited to inform themselves before going to the station and, where possible, to reschedule their journey.

On May 6th, trams and buses will be stopped

The strike, it is explained, was called to demand, among other things, a salary increase of 300 euros, the reduction of working hours from 39 to 35 hours per week, with the same salary and a reduction in driving time and working belt for drivers, and the adaptation of safety and health protections in the workplace.
