Two car fires during the night in Lecce: firefighters intervened to put out the flames that burned some cars: two of these in the heart of the historic center of the city.
The first intervention occurred around 02.35 am via Giudiuliwhere a Fiat 600 owned by MCD in 1966 it was involved in a widespread fire. On site, firefighters extinguished the flames and made the vehicle safe.
The second intervention
At 03.20, the fire brigade team was sent to Piazzetta Arco di Prato for a second fire which was affecting two cars: a 1942 Fiat Punto owned by CL and a 1965 Ford Ecosport owned by MM
Due to the thermal radiation, two other cars parked nearby and part of a façade of a residential house were damaged. Thanks to the intervention of the Fire Brigade team, further damage to people and property was avoided, guaranteeing public and private safety.
The causes that started both fires are under investigation.
