Arrival in Rome with the final catwalk at the Fori Imperiali on Sunday 26 May after 3,400.8 kilometers of running and 44,650 meters of altitude difference. Between departure and arrival a lot of Valtellina.

Two cyclists from Valtellina at the start, both making their career debut in the pink race. With back number 112 in Lidl Trek shirt Andrea Bagioli. The malenco born in 1999, after his professional debut in 2020, has so far achieved seven victories in his career. He is openly aiming for his first stage success in a grand tour, he who has so far participated in one edition of the Tour de France and three of the Vuelta de España and today’s stage is already among those most favorable to him: “To the Lidl-Trek I feel very good, the team is super – said Andrea on the eve of departure -, I’m very happy and I’m getting along very well with both my teammates and the staff”.
The other cyclist from Valtellina in the race is Davide Piganzoli. The Morbegna born in 2002 from Polti Kometa will have 168 as his race number: “Being in my first Giro I have many doubts and questions about myself but also the certainty of having worked very well – he declared on the eve -, after the victory at the Tour of Antalya in Turkey and the start of the Italian calendar I rested, then I trained on Teide, I raced the Tour of the Alps, I finally did the last training sessions to reach brilliance and I’m here to do something good”. A Piganzoli who started the year well with his first success as a professional in Turkey at the Tour of Antalya where he also established himself in the general classification. Without neglecting the general classification, for him it is an absolute debut in a three-week stage race and for this year the objective is certainly to try to win a stage which for a Giro debutant is a lot , lots of stuff.
