(PressMoliLaz) Campobasso, 04 May 24 The former centre-right councilor and candidate with Popolari per l’Italia in the next 2024 municipal elections expressed criticism towards the current majority of the municipal council, raising crucial questions and inviting reflection on some decisions in view of the upcoming elections in Palazzo San Giorgio who will decree the choice of the next council, a council called to work for the good of the capital city. Over the course of the year the former councilor has expressed concern about the direction the local government is taking, highlighting a number of issues which he believes deserve immediate attention. Among the main points raised are:
public greenery, cycle path and meeting spaces:
- The former councilor has questioned some recent political choices, defining them as questionable and harmful to the well-being of the city and its inhabitants, think of the public green areas and the new cycle path, a choice that does nothing but put citizens and cyclists because the technical methods with which it was created leaves something to be desired.
- Again, on the question of public greenery, it is considered useful to contest the lack of attention to the maintenance of the greenery of the districts and peripheral areas of the capital, a symptom of a lack of attention towards those who do not live or in any case do not belong to the areas of the city centre, which instead is well cared for and with constant maintenance.
“That’s all right, but this doesn’t mean that citizens of peripheral areas are considered second-class. Then think about the meeting spaces, designed for the elderly and young people. As for the elderly, it is now time to think about them since recent statistical research shows that the city has a high number of elderly people who require attention and well-conceived and organized meeting spaces”.
Also taking a look at the road system, it is imperative that the next municipal government faces this challenge with determination, committing itself to remedying traffic jams, the lack of maintenance and the poor state of the roads in which the capital reigns. “Our objective is to guarantee an efficient, safe and modern road system that meets the needs of citizens and supports the economic and social development of our city and for this reason I will commit to implementing concrete policies”.
Meanwhile, Di Sisto has announced his intention to continue to closely monitor the work of the local administration and to continue to defend the interests of citizens with determination and commitment.
