After the public and critical success of a few months ago, Ivan Festa with Pasolini at Villa Ada, the monologue based on the text by Giorgio Manacorda, is back on stage by popular demand at the AR.MA TEATRO in Rome from 10 to 12 May.
Pasolini at Villa Ada describes the personal relationship between Giorgio Manacorda and Pier Paolo Pasolini. The story of a friendship, that between the author and the Friulian poet, hitherto hidden or veiledly told in private. Through a dense monologue, which follows the rhythm of the story, we discover an intense friendship and the tormented path of emancipation that Manacorda had to face to free himself from the paternal figure of the master.
“The performance, therefore, is a new encounter with Pier Paolo Pasolini, a different story, far from political controversies, from reconstructions or reductions of the protagonist to a mere and simple news story” explains the actor “a few years have passed Since its debut, this show has had many reruns, but for me it is always a great emotion.”
