CARPI- The Municipality of Carpi was invited to Ukraine to participate in the second “International meeting of Ukrainian cities and regions” (“International Summit of Ukrainian Cities and Regions”), scheduled for May 9th in the capital, Kiev: the Administration has agreed to the proposal, which arrived via the Ukrainian embassy in Italy, and will send a delegation made up of the mayor and the president of “Mriya” (“Dream”), the association animated by Italian and Ukrainian citizens residing in Carpi.
Apparently, Pio will be the only Italian city at the event, which is “the largest gathering of local and regional representatives of Ukraine and their partner foreigners” with the aim of uniting international, regional and municipal efforts for reconstruction. The summit is convened by the “Congress of Local and Regional Authorities” led by the President of Ukraine.
The Carpi representation will meet the Administration of Bòyarka, the territorial community with which a “Friendship and Collaboration Pact” was signed a month ago. The delegation will also visit the cities of Irpin’ and Buča.
