Soccer Altamura, the hunt for Serie A begins. Lorusso: “Cooperation”

Having finished the regular season with second place behind Atletico Chiaravalle and without having suffered defeats, the hunt for Serie A begins for Soccer Altamura. The first stage of this journey which, if all goes well, will end in June begins on Sunday evening with the “home” match against WFC Grottaglie who, last Sunday, thanks to the clear success against the City of Taranto, secured the last place in the play-offs. The approach to this match, however, reserved a nasty surprise for the Altamura team who, unfortunately, due to the unavailability of the PalaPiccinni, occupied for another event, will be forced to emigrate to the “Paolo Borsellino” tensile structure in Bitonto, already home to the red and whites in the first home games last season.

For the team led by Vincenzo Tassielli, however, this should not represent a big problem, considering the strength of the team and the habit of almost all the soccer players in playing matches of this importance. For the club chaired by Franco Dinardo, it will be the first experience in the play-offs, which they missed last season due to the separated ranking. He remembers it well too Costanza Lorusso, now a Soccer veteran: “Last year, with great regret, we didn’t have the chance to fight in the play-off matches due to the different rankings. This year, however, we have earned them with excellent results and the challenge finally begins on Sunday. It will be like starting a new championship and it will definitely be an open game. – continued the expert red and white soccer player – “With the team, the technical staff and the club we are preparing ourselves as best we can to face the challenge because in my opinion, in every competition, the winning weapon is precisely the cooperation between the various components of the our structure.”

For this match, there shouldn’t be any training problems for the red and whites, apart from Ogara who, after the injury she suffered a few weeks ago, had to end her season early: fortunately for her, the possibility of surgery was averted.
The match between Soccer Altamura and WFC Grottaglie, valid as a single match of the first round of the play-offs of the women’s Serie B group C, will be directed by Simone Petracca and Stefano Prisco, both from the Lecce section, while Claudio Pacucci from the Bari section will be the timekeeper. Kick-off at 7pm with live streaming on our Facebook page, with commentary by the Puglia5.it editorial team.
