Accused of possession for the purpose of trafficking of a large quantity of drugs, the Carabinieri of the Tivoli Radiomobile Section arrested and took a 47-year-old Roman man to prison.
The man, resident in Tivoli, during a territorial control activity, particularly strengthened during the days of the Spring weekends, a Carabinieri patrol subjected the arrested man who was driving a vehicle in the central United Nations square to a check.
After a thorough search of the vehicle, the Carabinieri personnel found a plastic bag in the trunk, inside which a cardboard box with the narcotic was hidden.
In particular, 38 blocks of hashish with a total weight of 3.8 kg were kept. of hashish, in addition to the cash sum of approximately 5,000 euros, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing.
The seized substance, which would have fetched several tens of thousands of euros if placed on the market, was subjected to laboratory analysis.
