The Coni Guarantee Board rejects Taranto’s appeal: the device

The First Section of the Board of Guarantee, following the hearing held today and chaired by prof. adv. Vito Branca, rejected the appeal presented by Taranto Football Club 1927 Srl against the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), as well as against the FIGC Federal Prosecutor’s Office, with notification also made to the General Prosecutor’s Office for Sport at CONI, regarding the request of cancellation and/or reform, pursuant to articles. 54 and 62 of the CONI CGS, subject to precautionary suspension pursuant to art. 57, paragraph 2, letter. d), same Code, of the decision of the Federal Court of Appeal of the FIGC n. 0109/CFA/2023-2024, filed complete with reasons on 23 April 2024 and communicated to today’s petitioner on the same date, rejecting the complaint lodged by the aforementioned appellant against the decision of the National Federal Court, Disciplinary Section, no. 0177/TFN-SD-2023-2024 of 18 March 2024, which imposed, on the company Taranto FC 1927 Srl, the sanction of a penalty of 4 points in the ranking, to be served during the current sports season.

As a result, the contested decision was confirmed.

Finally, full compensation for the costs of the proceedings was determined.
