Children FIAB, the traditional festive ride organized mainly for primary school children and their parents, but open to all, returns to Udine on 12 May. The event is organized by FIAB Udine “Abicitude” APS, in collaboration with Salvaciclisti Udine, IoCiVado APS and Fondazione Maruzza Pediatric Palliative Care. The event enjoys the patronage of the Municipality of Udine and sees the participation of the municipal Ludobus. The Friuli Centrale University Health Company collaborates by making the park of the former San Osvaldo OPP available.
Children FIAB, launched in 2000, promotes the use of bicycles and raises awareness among public administrations, schools and other educational agencies to create safe routes for children and their families. The event is an opportunity to encourage the use of the Pedibus and the Bicibus, two initiatives that offer school accompaniment on foot and by bicycle, as an alternative to the car and the school bus. The objective is to promote sustainable mobility and ensure that the bicycle becomes a habitual means of transport for children on their journey home to school.
