Livorno, the Port System Authority inaugurates the new offices in the Granari Silos

LIVORNO – The ribbon cutting took place on the sidelines of the presentation event of two historical volumes dedicated to the Granari Silos of the port of Livorno, edited by the Livornese History, Letters and Arts Association and presented as part of a series of initiatives jointly organized by AdSP, Chamber of Commerce and Real Estate Port to celebrate the first hundred years of life of the symbolic building of the Livorno port.

The expansion of the structures responds to the Authority’s need to recover new areas to deal with the space problems that had arisen at Palazzo Rosciano as a result of the new staff hires.

“In recent years the port authority has diversified and further specialized its skills to respond in particular to the challenges imposed by digitalisation and environmental sustainability” declared the president of the AdSP, Luciano Guerrieri.

“The new offices of the Maritime Station already host various professionals, with varied skills and a high level of specialization, ranging from IT to digital transition, from promotion to development and innovation” he added.

“We are proud to be able to count on a team of experts dedicated to increasingly crucial topics for national ports, today seen not only as simple supply chain hubs for the transport of goods and people but as engines of sustainable growth and energy hubs. In short, our ports have evolved and the Port Authorities have also evolved, in the sign of a change which today finds its plastic response in the inauguration of these new offices”.
