There will be 98 of them who will have to appear at the beginning of 2025 in front of the single judge in court in Ravenna for the start of the hearing which will see them accused of forgery for the affair of the fake green passes obtained following the vaccinations carried out by Doctor Mauro Passarini: the 67-year-old doctor, who has already agreed to a two-year sentence, is said to have injected physiological solutions or heavily watered down doses of serum into hundreds of patients, including those for whom the judge for the preliminary hearing Andrea Galanti chose to accept the request of indictment formulated by the deputy prosecutor Angela Scorza. At the end of today’s hearing, several convictions also arrived for the majority of the 35 defendants who had chosen the abbreviated procedure: a well-known name also appears on the list, that of Alberto Ferrero, group leader of the Brothers of Italy in the city council in Ravenna and provincial coordinator of Giorgia Meloni’s party. The judge for the preliminary hearing pronounced a 9-month prison sentence against him, with the sentence suspended on conditional terms. However, there were nine acquittals among those who had opted for the abbreviated procedure. The remaining positions, around eighty, are those of those who have chosen the path of plea bargaining: in this case the sentences granted range from 5 to 6 months and 20 days. Some have asked for the commutation to a financial penalty for amounts ranging from a minimum of 800 euros to a maximum of 2100 euros.
