Bergamo: Bgy Airport Granfondo, route changes for some Atb lines in the city

On the occasion of the Bgy Airport Granfondo, scheduled for Sunday 5 May and for which closures are already active, Atb also issued a statement to inform about the changes to some lines.

Specifically, due to the closure to traffic of the Ss470 from Villa d’Almè to Bergamo and of via Ruggeri da Stabello, Baioni, Lazzaretto and Crescenzi, lines 3, 6 and 9 will undergo some route changes.

What changes for line 3

For line 3, from 7 to 8, the trips departing from Ostello to Città Alta arriving in via L. da Vinci will travel along via Tremana, via Bossi, via S. Colombano, via Crocefisso, via R. da Stabello and via Buozzi da where they will resume their normal route.

Those departing from Città Alta, however, once they arrive in via Pescaria, will continue on via Pescaria up to via Bossi, then, they will travel along via Tremana and via L. da Vinci from where they will resume the normal route.

From 8am to 3pm, however, line 3 trips will travel along viale G. Cesare, via Battisti, via Verdi, via Petrarca, viale Vittorio Emanuele and viale delle Mura in both directions and then continue on the normal route.

Changes to line 6

As regards line 6, from 7 to 8 the trips departing from S. Colombano, having completed the Monterosso ring, will travel along via Bossi, via S. Colombano, via Crocefisso, via Baioni, via Sauro, via Battisti and the normal route .

While the trips directed to S. Colombano arriving in via Battisti will travel along via Sauro, via Baioni, via Pescaria, via Bossi, via Tremana, via L. da Vinci and the normal route. After 8 am regular route in both directions.

Line 9: what changes

Finally, from 7 to 9, line 9 trips will run along via Baioni and via Sauro in both directions. Furthermore, starting from the journey towards Azzonica at 8.25 am and until the end of the event scheduled for around 3.00 pm, the journeys departing from the station, arriving in Viale Giulio Cesare, will follow the same route as line 6 with the terminus in San Colombano .

Temporary stops will be established in correspondence with those planned for the other company lines.

Other changes planned

Due to the closure to traffic of via Bersaglieri, corso Europa, via Roma, via Polcarezzo, in the municipalities of Gorle and Scanzo, other route changes will also be adopted which will concern line 5.

Specifically, the train departing from Dalmine at 6.32am (6.58am Porta Nuova) and heading to Gavarno will reach Scanzo along via Corridoni, via Marconi, via Provinciale, via d’Alzano, via Cavalli, via Carrara, via Mascarelli , via Marchesi, via f.lli Cervi, via Matteotti, via Roma, Scanzo, piazza Caslini, where it will make the temporary terminus and from where it will leave for Bergamo at 7.33 am.

The race departing from Villa di Serio via A. Moro at 6.57 am, will travel along via Lungo Serio, via Mons. Marchesi, from where it will depart for Bergamo on the route of line 5D (Alzano, Ranica, Torre Boldone). Also in this case, temporary stops will be established in correspondence with those planned for the other company lines.
