Italy-Finland women will be played on 12/7 in Bolzano

(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 03 – The ‘Druso’ stadium in Bolzano will host, on Tuesday 16 July, Italy-Finland, the sixth and final match of the qualifying group for next year’s Women’s European Championships. The journey of the women’s national team will therefore end in the stadium which last October was sold out for the victory of the men’s Under 21 against Norway, who will be the next opponent of coach Andrea Soncin’s girls, awaiting the double match against the Scandinavians scheduled for Friday 31 May in Oslo and Tuesday 4 June in Ferrara. After the two matches against Norway, on Tuesday 12 July Italy will visit the Netherlands, beaten 2-0 in the debut match played on 5 April in Cosenza, and then focus on the final match of the group with Finland. The Italians will play in Bolzano for the third time: the last, in chronological order, was the friendly match lost 20 years ago against Germany (1-0), preceded by the success (8-0) in the 1983 test against Austria.
