BonifiBonifica, Voce at the preliminary conference reiterates “No to downward reclamations, Crotonesi deserve more!”
Descriptive text here

At the preliminary conference held this morning at the Ministry of the Environment to discuss the reclamation of former industrial sites, I reiterated that my fellow citizens do not deserve a downward reclamation.

Already with Pob phase 2 the soil of the former Pertusola plant will be made safe and covered, now it is necessary to respect what is defined in Directorial Decree no. 7 of 3 March 2020.

Waste must be taken out and not moved a few meters from where it is located. Otherwise it would be a further mockery for the city, for the people of Crotone. We will never give our consent.

When ENI talks to me about “Waste Tourism” I would prefer that they concretely examine the inevitability of starting with reclamation activities without entrenching themselves in the absence of landfills.

Remediation must be done, also using innovative techniques.

Precisely for this reason I asked that the costs be re-evaluated in light of new technologies that will have to be taken into consideration.

Costs too much? It’s not a city problem.

I also communicated that I will renew the invitation to the Calabria Region to enforce the guarantee policy issued by Eni.

Thus the mayor of Crotone Vincenzo Voce at the end of the preliminary conference.
