Tomorrow “City in dance” will return to Civitavecchia: the national Uisp festival, which is divided into a circuit of territorial events which, after the first stages around Italy, will arrive at the Teatro Traiano tomorrow. The protagonist will be dance, a sport made of joys and sacrifices, successes and emotions. Ballerinas of various ages will put all their heart and energy into creating moments of celebration, sport and sharing with the Uisp Dance sector at the center of the event.
“City in dance is an event that has entered the hearts of everyone – say Uisp – enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts alike. The competition is divided into two phases: phase one is organized by the Uisp territorial or regional committees, while the second is organized by the national activity sector. Inside City in dance there are performances of different specialties: modern, classical, hip-hop dance and then there is a sector where all the ethnic and popular dances come together. Even if the modern, classic and contemporary represent the bulk of the event. Rankings are drawn up and based on them you enter the final phase.”
“The novelty this year concerns the change in the date of the national finals which will be held in November. A change that will allow the Committees to facilitate travel given that, for the finals, three interregional stages are planned: one in the North, one in the Center and one in the South”.
The categories that will take the stage at the Traiano di Civitavecchia are: Children category up to 9 years, from 10 to 12 years Junior category, from 13 to 15 years Children category, Adults from 16 to 24 years, Over over 25 years.
We start in the morning with the masterclasses of the professionals present on the jury: at 11 am classical lesson with maestro Mauro Murri, at 12.40 pm modern lesson with maestro Manolo Casalino and at 2.30 pm hip-hop lesson with the maestro Fabrizio Santi. The first two lessons will take place at the Asd Opera Danza while the hip-hop lesson will be on the stage of the Teatro Traiano.
At 6.00 pm the actual competition will begin which will see Effegi Project, Ballet Center, Opera Danza, Urban Stile, Centro Danza Classica e Contemporanea, Luca’s Dance, Dance Studio 2020, Taf, 100% Danza performing on stage.
