Torino FC and Suzuki Italia present the Superga 75 celebratory shirt

“A tragically unique story on which an unrepeatable passion is based.” Massimo Nalli, president of Suzuki Italia, wanted to describe Grande Torino in this way, a few days after the anniversary of the Superga tragedy. A special Joma celebratory shirt, unveiled in the press conference at the Olympic Stadium, will be worn in the match on 3 May 2024 against Bologna to remember those who, on 4 May 75 years ago, lost their lives in the plane crash that forever marked the history of Italian football.

Suzuki Italia is a sponsor rooted in the image of Torino FC. The Japanese brand has its Italian headquarters right in the Piedmontese capital. From there, “getting closer to Toro was natural. Sport brings everyone together and allows us to communicate brand values without talking about products or prices, but focusing on passion”. And not just football, Suzuki is involved in triathlon, rugby and with the Italian Ice Sports Federation. All with the aim of “helping Italians live their passions. It is part of Suzuki’s tradition and DNA to make products that improve people’s lives in some way. Since the first motorcycles, which were more like bicycles with an added petrol engine to help farmers pedal in the strong winds of the Japanese coast.”

In polo style with buttons and a white collar with a decidedly vintage look, it will be characterized by the presence of all the partners’ names in tone-on-tone garnet, compared to the white of the standard shirt, to honor the original design from which it takes inspiration. “The sponsor team found itself in a position to make a different choice” – explained Nalli – “With great honor we took a lateral step in terms of visibility”.
