Libertas Swimming: record numbers for the Italian Juniores in synchro

Satisfaction at Libertas Nuoto Novara after the Italian Spring Synchronized Swimming Championships – Junior category, held in Livorno from 23 to 27 April.

The results

For the first time the Novara team participated in a national championship with at least one ballet in each specialty. Marianna Pino (2007) and Asia Ferrari competed in the “solo” freestyle, while Pino and Matilde Migliaretti (2007) competed in the “duo”.
In the team free, together with the undines mentioned, Camilla Gennusa (2008) and Maddalena Mazzini (2010) also performed. These synchronettes also participated in the compulsory technical exercises competition. Finally, the Acrobatic routine involved the athletes already involved in the team exercise plus Emma Ferrari (2010), Aurora Imbrici (2010) and Arianna Mammolito (2011). It should be noted that the athletes born in 2010 and 2011, although belonging to the Girls category, can participate in the higher category races. In fact, Mazzini had already achieved qualification in January.

The two coaches Francesca Torri and Miriam Galasso are satisfied: “For the first time Libertas Nuoto Novara managed to start with so many exercises at an Italian Championship – these are their words – There is still a lot of work to do, especially taking into account of the new regulation and of a very young team like ours. This season we have laid the foundations for what, we hope, will be great growth in the near future. Now the National Summer Championships for Girls and Overall await us, again with a good number of exercises. The A rookies have their sights set on the Italian summer championships at the end of July.”

Moving on to swimming, almost everything is ready for the 38th edition of the National Swimming Meeting “City of Novara – Ottavio Borzino Trophy”, also organized by Libertas to remember the historic founder of the Libertas Sports Promotion Body in the city.
Appointment on Sunday 5 May at the Terdoppio swimming pool: 1,900 competing athletes representing 20 clubs from various Italian regions.
For swimming enthusiasts, an unmissable event, which immediately brought large Italian swimming clubs to our city, confirming itself as the largest swimming event at a regional level and one of the most important at a national level.

Almost 2,000 athletes will compete divided into various categories and specialties.
The program will see the 50 meters contest in the 4 styles for the B Beginners, while in all the other categories the distances of 100 and 200 meters will also be competed.
In the Rookie A Category, the 23rd “Elio Vezzani” Trophy will also be up for grabs, reserved for the athlete who achieves the best technical performance.
Special prizes for the best male and female performances in each category.
For the Overall category, the combined prize is up for grabs, obtained by adding the best scores in the 4 races. The races will start at 9 am in the morning and at 3 pm in the afternoon. Free admission.
