“Waiting for Cyrano” is the show directed by Alessia Angileri with Giacomo Frazzitta which will be staged at the “Sollima” Theater in Marsala on May 8th at 9pm and who rewrites the most famous “Cyrano de Bergerac” by Rostand, updating it to the present day. “The idea was born from a question: how would the story of Cyrano unfold today, of this man teased for his big nose, in love with Rossana and unrequited, because he is shy and unable to express his feelings – it is inspiration that the author of the text and director Alessia Angileri tells us -. Even today’s generations struggle, which is why we gave life to the protagonist, Viola, who is in love with Maddalena but doesn’t have the courage to confess her feelings for fear of being rejected. But another protagonist will be Edoardo, who in turn loves Maddalena but can’t find the right words to win her over.”

“TOwaiting for Cyrano” it was represented last summer in the MAC exhibition ‘in Scurata’. On stage, in addition to Angileri herself, also Mariella Monteleone, Demetrio Rizzo, Giorgia Albertini, Sergio Giacalone, Nadia Zannelli. Live music will be performed by Virginia Gold; scene movements by Elisa llari. Also on the 8th, in the morning, there will be a repeat performance for the students.
