The Marian journey of our Patroness began yesterday, in the parish of Santa Maria Addolorata di Mariotto.
After Mariotto it will be transferred, on May 1st and 2nd, to the Immacolata parish of Palombaio.
Then the route will move to Bitonto. From 2 to 4 May it will be in the parish of Sant’Andrea, from 4 to 6 in the Martyrs Church of Abitene, from 6 to 8 at Christ the Universal King, from 8 to 10 at Santa Caterina, from 10 to 13 at San Silvestro, from 13th to 16th in San Leucio, from 16th to 19th at Santissimo Sacramento and from 19th to 22nd in San Leone.
On May 22nd it will be in the artisan area and then from the 22nd to the 23rd between Villa Giovanni XXIII and the “Marena” hospice, until arriving from the 23rd to the 26th in the Sanctuary of the Santi Medici.
On May 26th, the day of the patronal feast, dawn mass will be celebrated at 6 in the churchyard of the Basilica dei Santi Medici and the sacred image will then be moved to the Co-Cathedral.
At 11.30 the Eucharistic Concelebration presided over by Archbishop Mons. Giuseppe Satriano. The procession will begin at 6.30pm.
Finally, on May 28th, in the Cathedral there will be the lectio magistralis by the prof. Andrea Riccardi, founder of the Community of Sant’Egidio, on the theme: “The audacity of peace. Memory of John Paul II in a difficult time”.
