Experience at the Museum and Psychological Wellbeing: a research conducted by ISIA Faenza with the Malmerendi Museum of Faenza

Is there a relationship between Psychological Wellbeing and visiting a museum?

Several international studies seem to confirm this.

Inserting itself into this new line of research in Positive Psychology, through a degree thesis in Communication Design, a research project coordinated at a scientific level by Prof. Manuela Zambianchi, professor of Psychology at the ISIA University Institute of Faenza which will see the Malmerendi Museum of Natural Sciences, via Medaglie D’Oro n. 51, Faenza.

Visitors to the Museum will be able to participate in research by visiting the rooms and above all by doing experience of innovative virtual realities developed by student Silvia Brizio, immersing herself in virtual landscapes that belong to remote periods studied by Paleontology and returned to us through the encounter between the art of Design, Psychology and Paleontology.

At the end of the visit you will be asked to complete a short anonymous questionnaire, to guarantee privacy. Anyone over the age of 18 will be able to participate in the research.

The times in which visitors will be able to experience these immersive digital creations will be the usual opening times of the Museum (Tuesday and Thursday from 9.30am to 12pm and from 3pm to 6pm). The days of are added to these times extraordinary opening, starting from May 11th, on Saturday and Sunday from 3pm to 6pm for an exhibition hosted within the Museum.

The immersive digital creations will be available to view throughout the period from May 11th to June 30th.
