Descriptive text here

The one just concluded was an intense weekend of women’s hockey, with under 12 and under 16 matches played on the last weekend of April on the Giatti field in Bondeno.

The under 12 women’s matches were played on Saturday: after the first concentration played in Mori, the matches held in Bondeno were fundamental for a good placement of the team. The first match with HC Riva was pleasant and fun and gave our squad the opportunity to settle in on the pitch and play against a good opponent. Without too many difficulties, Bondeno managed to reach the goal of victory, seeing good team play.

In the second match of the day, against the more experienced Cus Padova, the difficulties increased considerably, but the young Matildas still managed to bring home the victory. With the regulation dedicated to the under-12 championship, Hc Bondeno won the first period of play, while Cus Padova won the second period. The third and final half was beautiful, which saw the little Matilda athletes find a strong understanding and therefore obtain the final victory 2 to 1.

Exciting match, played as a team, with excellent play from all the athletes. Now, only the results of the matches on June 2nd in Padua will decide the fate of this young female. These are the athletes who took to the field: Casari, Bux, Benati, Borgatti, Campini and Poletti.

The results of the day:
Hc Bondeno 3 – 1 Hc Riva
Cus Padova 3 – 0 Hc Riva
Hc Bondeno 2 – 1 Cus Padova

On Sunday, however, the match valid for the Hc Bondeno – Hc Argentia women’s national under-16 championship was played. First time ever for Hc Bondeno in crossing sticks against the Lombard team of Gorgonzola. With a good atmosphere and encouragement from the public present at the Giatti field, the girls of Hc Bondeno struggled to keep up with the strong opponents of Argentia.

The first half ends with the result 0-0, while Argentia takes the lead a few minutes from the end of the second quarter. Two extremely tiring halves for the Matilda athletes, during which the young girls managed to keep up with their opponents, stopping their attacking actions, but struggling to finish towards the opponent’s goal. In the third and fourth half, tiredness and a hint of discouragement caused the team to suffer. Despite the excellent saves of Guagliumi, best on the pitch, the final result ended with 9-0 for the opponents.

Superior opponent both physically and in terms of experience, but the young age of several Matilda athletes and the continuous growth of the group are a good omen for the next matches. These are the athletes who took to the field: Guagliumi, Pazzi E, Bortolotti, Pazzi I, Baruffaldi, Bedani, Cuestas, Scaringella, Baraldini, Bux, Borgatti and Benati.
