LATINA – The “Sermoneta Maggio – street shows” returns for the 29th edition, which will enliven the historic center of Sermoneta every weekend in May with events that will embrace all forms of art. An event for all lovers and enthusiasts of culture and music organized by the Maggio Sermonetano association, under the artistic direction of Massimo Gentile, with the patronage and contribution of the municipal administration of Sermoneta and the Lazio Region.

The stage for the events (from 5 to 26 May) will be the alleys and squares of Sermoneta, the medieval village in the province of Latina: “A month dedicated to the sounds coming from Italy and Europe and to all the various forms of art that they will unfold in every corner of Sermoneta: events in which you are all invited to participate”, explains the mayor Giuseppina Giovannoli. In the Municipality courtyard there will be a space dedicated to young musicians.

In addition to the painting and photography exhibitions (Sandro Arcieli, Gisella Raimondi, Gennaro la Gatta and Dante de Santis), concerts, performances, workshops for children, poetry and many other parallel initiatives are planned. It starts on Sunday with “Bands of sounds in the streets of the town” and the performance in the streets of the town of the bands Fabrizio Caroso, Cecafumo, Fanfaroma, Montagnola, Santa Cecilia Città Di Norma Aps, Titubanda in collaboration with the Fabrizio Caroso musical band of Sermoneta. In the evening there will be a performance by the bands at the Belvedere. At the picture gallery of the agricultural university “Poetry with 360 senses” poems by Isabella Velardo and Mariano Macale. At the church of San Michele at 11am “Form and color – Compositions and Decompositions” (Alessandro Dupré, Francesco Petrianni, Duccio Tringali) and “Violin making hanging by a thread” with Pietro Melia, in addition to ceramic workshops for children organized by the William Morris Association.

Among the guests of Maggio Sermonetano during the month: on May 12th the “Nubras”, an international ensemble that combines traditional Balkan music with jazz and classical influences.
