Raffaele Sainato, 55 years old, is a professional in the banking world where he has always held managerial roles. In March 2020 he entered the Regional Council, among the ranks of the Majority, and the following July assumed the leadership of the Fifth Regional Commission for Reforms. As a young man he was an active militant of the Christian Democratic Youth Movement. He entered the world of institutions in 2006 when he was elected, for the first time, municipal councilor of Locri, subsequently holding the position of councilor for urban planning, environmental policies, human resources and budget until 2011. In 2013, then, in the second council term he was also Deputy Mayor.
