The future of Milan, who will sit on the Rossoneri bench, is certainly one of the hottest topics of the moment and which will drag on the consequences until next summer. The widespread feeling is that the Rossoneri are navigating by sight, at least as far as has been leaked, waiting for a choice capable of bringing together all the members of the club, the locker room and at this point also the fans.
There is no point in hiding how the popular uprising which has had social networks as an unusual sounding board, has influenced the otherwise decision to focus on Julen Lopetegui as the next coach.
A situation that represents a unique example of its kind, and which underlines on the one hand the attention of the owners towards the voice of the people with the consequences that could have resulted (starting from the lack of turnout in the stands), but on the other also the lack of clarity in terms of programming which should be at a very different level on May 3rd.
The dance of alternatives is what is taking center stage, without there being a well-defined choice on the horizon. Let’s start from the name that warms up the same fans who directed the change of direction towards the Rossoneri: Antonio Conte. In this case it is appropriate to clear the field of easy associations of ideas linked to the turbulent and pretentious past of the former Juventus, Inter and Tottenham manager. For Milan, the coach from Lecce would have been willing to become the frontman of a project devoted to the future, in which however the expectations and timing associated with it were also clear. The ball passes to those responsible.
The alternative ideas are always the same, starting with Paulo Fonseca, whose contracts with Lille are expiring and who has been proposed and evaluated by via Aldo Rossi for a month now.
Moving on to the other Portuguese idea that Jorge Mendes (Lopetegui out of the discussion despite conflicting rumors) is trying to push towards Milan, namely Sergio Conceicao. A solution which would also seem to meet with the favor of the public at least at a media level. Just as the De Zerbi track doesn’t seem to have warmed up, neither for Milan nor for Bavaria.
The paradox is that it seems too early to be able to reach a definitive conclusion regarding the Rossoneri case, but that by looking at the picture from afar we can see how Milan is quite clearly behind the possible contenders for the title for the season to come. Especially regarding a market session in which the priorities seem quite clear to the point of regardless of the choice of technical guide. The center forward, first and foremost. Zirkzee is the first choice, but it is clear that the competition is quite fierce and can count on top-level weapons like those of the coach who has refined his talent until it shines with the brilliance we know. A central midfielder: the Rossoneri have been offered Hojbjerg who however presents a problem relating to the salary currently received at Tottenham. A promising central defender and above all a right winger who can substantially raise the level compared to the alternatives currently present in the squad.
Elsewhere the teams are already set, Milan cannot afford to make up for such a significant delay by starting even a full month after the competition.
