Management control. ASReM strategies to improve production, costs and efficiency

The Molise Regional Health Authority (ASReM) recently reiterated the importance of Management Control through a series of initiatives aimed at improving the production, costs and overall efficiency of the regional health sector. This emerged during a meeting held in Campobasso, where the ASReM general director, Giovanni Di Santo, underlined the need to form a solid team to face the challenges and overcome the critical issues of the system.

The focus of the meeting was on the analysis of local hospital supply and demand for the implementation of the organizational models defined in ministerial decrees DM 70 and DM 77. Doctor Francesco Nicotra, who will support the SC Management Planning and Control, highlighted the importance of understanding the specific needs of each territorial district, considering the dynamics of population mobility and the main pathologies requiring hospitalization.

Nicotra underlined the importance of putting the citizen at the center and highlighted the crucial role of institutions, including Municipalities, in contributing to this process. Furthermore, the need has emerged to redesign the healthcare organization based on data analysis, also responding to the indications of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).

The administrative director, Grazia Matarante, reiterated the importance of this approach, underlining the need to adapt the organization to the needs of the territory and national directives, in order to guarantee an efficient health service that responds to the needs of citizens.
