Heavy rain: yellow alert in Valle d’Aosta

Yellow alert in the valley due to the heavy rains that have been affecting the region since yesterday, May 1st. The Regional Functional Center reports it.

The alert concerns three-quarters of the regional territory; normal situation only in zone D – North-West (part of Gran Paradiso, Valdigne, Grand Combin and Monte Cervino).

Forecasts

Throughout today the sky will be very cloudy, with scattered showers or isolated thunderstorms, more intense between late morning and mid-afternoon. Snow at 1900-2100 meters, decreasing to 1700 meters in the evening.

Friday 3 May very cloudy with light precipitation on the borders and in Piedmont, snow at 1700-1900 metres.

On Saturday 4th there will be a break, with sunny weather in the morning, followed by a new worsening on Sunday 5th when we will have light rainfall across the entire regional territory.

More intense rainfall is expected again on Monday 5 May.
