Enzo Pisicchio’s legates ask for the house arrest to be revoked

Enzo Pisicchio, under house arrest since April 10th for complicity in corruption, bid rigging and issuing invoices for non-existent transactions, was questioned before prosecutors. It took place today before the Court of Review of Bari. The defenders of Enzo Pisicchio, reports Ansa, asked the judges to annul the arrests due to the lack of the precautionary requirement of the danger of repetition of the crime and because the facts date back to over four years ago and because today the suspect no longer holds any political office and has no relations with the public administration.

The Prosecutor’s Office opposed it, asking for the precautionary measure to be maintained and reaffirming the existence of the risk of recurrence. The decision is expected by tomorrow, as is the case for his brother Alfonsino Pisicchio who discussed the same request at the Review in recent days.

In the afternoon Enzo Pisicchio was interrogated, at his request, by the investigating prosecutors, Claudio Pinto and Savina Toscani. I defended her to the magistrates by providing her version of the facts and asking them to reclassify the crimes alleged by hypothesizing less serious cases, starting with corruption.
