Narcotic substance seized
The enforcement activity of the Prato State Police continues on the drug marketing front.
The investigative activity, developed by the Flying Squad of the Prato Police Headquarters with the provision of targeted and discreet observation and control services, has made it possible to trace the probable involvement in illicit trafficking carried out by a twenty-five-year-old Italian citizen resident in Prato, with no criminal record, and to seize, during a house search, hashish-type narcotics weighing approximately 3.5 kg in total.
The operation ended with the arrest of the man and the seizure of a significant quantity of drugs.
In detail, the investigation found its epilogue on 30 April last, when the investigators, carrying out stalking activities against a subject who was under attention as he was suspected of being addicted, in the historic city centre, to the dealing of narcotic substances , followed his movements, intercepting him near his mother’s house.
The officers proceeded to check him, stopping him on the street in the “Soccorso” neighborhood and identifying him as a 24-year-old Italian citizen, until then without a criminal record, first proceeding with the personal search to extend it to the house where he lives.
PG’s act allowed discovery 320 wrappers ovoid in shape containing a type of narcotic substance hashish by the total weight of about 3.5 kilosa drug probably destined for the local drug dealing market.
The young boy, accompanied to the Police Headquarters offices for the formalities, was arrested and, upon order of the AG, subjected to house arrest.
