TOWARDS THE AVERSA MUNICIPALITIES – Oliva does not align himself with Fratelli d’Italia and goes ahead with Matacena: we will run as citizens

10:06:06 Alfonso Oliva breaks away from Fratelli d’Italia and continues his adventure with the mayoral candidate Francesco Matacena.

After the official note from the party, the citizen coordinator of Aversa announces that he and his group will continue their civic experience with the president of the order of accountants of Naples North,

«At the last municipal elections in May 2019 we were the most voted in Aversa, elected from the ranks of a civic list – began Oliva who retraces his last years of politics in Aversa highlighting the results he achieved for Fdi –

Then I joined the Brothers of Italy when it was the government opposition and for the first time in the history of the Norman city, I formed the council group of Brothers of Italy.

In the last regional elections in September 2020, we were the most voted in the center-right of Aversa and, after a few weeks, I received the nomination as city commissioner of the party.

I was again a candidate for party spirit in the subsequent provincial elections.

We were in opposition to the PD from the first to the last day of the council, proving decisive for the PD mayor’s no-confidence vote in the council.

We inaugurated the party headquarters in via Costantinopoli solely thanks to our energies and we collected around 400 party membership cards in Aversa for the first time.

In the last 48 hours, a series of events which we will later have the opportunity to think about together, have led our candidate for Mayor Franco Matacena to demonstrate for political reasons the need to present a coalition made up of all civic lists in the elections, without any party symbol .

As often happens, having listened to the members of the city management, who have given their availability, in these circumstances, to the candidacy, we have chosen to support in a civic capacity Dr. Matacena’s candidacy for mayor of Aversa, who considered our list fundamental for his candidacy and for the coalition itself.

A choice that now calls our candidates to electoral commitment, despite the regret over how the situation was managed.

Now let’s go win!”.
